Office Refurbishment – Mitie, Brussels

Queensbury Construction Group successfully delivered a complete office refurbishment project for Mitie in Brussels, managing the works from initial strip-out through to final handover.

The project involved a full transformation of the workspace, including demolition works, new flooring throughout, mechanical and electrical adaptations, the installation of two new kitchenettes, full internal redecoration, data infrastructure upgrades, new blinds, and all associated finishing works.

Project Challenges

As with any live refurbishment project, challenges can arise throughout the delivery process. This project was no exception, with several unforeseen issues requiring quick thinking, collaboration, and practical solutions to maintain progress.

With multiple elements of the works interconnected, including strip-out, M&E adaptations, and finishing packages, careful coordination was required to ensure that any challenges were managed effectively without impacting the agreed programme, budget, or quality standards.

Our Approach

Queensbury Construction Group adopted a proactive and collaborative approach from the outset, working closely with all parties involved to ensure clear communication and effective decision-making throughout the project.

The successful delivery was achieved through the collective efforts of Kev (Mitie), Christian (Lewfield), Vinny & Drew (QCGL), Marcin & his team (Buildeo), and Stefaan (Avrio), who all played a key role in maintaining momentum and overcoming challenges as they arose.

Rather than allowing issues to affect progress, the team worked together to identify solutions, adapt where necessary, and keep the project moving forward while maintaining the high standards expected.

The completed scope included the removal of existing floors, walls, and two kitchenette areas; installation of new flooring throughout; power and plumbing adaptations; construction and fit-out of two new kitchenettes; full internal decoration; upgraded data infrastructure to support modern office requirements; installation of blinds; and all associated finishing works.

Project Outcome

The project was successfully delivered on time and within budget, with no compromise on quality or attention to detail.
